Weekend

The weekend is FINALLY almost here! It has just seemed like such a long week!

This is our weekend/week with Taylor, so she will be home tonight after I get home from work. We are then going to go celebrate my nephew's 2nd birthday with my family (I can't believe he's 2 already!) Time flies!

Tomorrow we are going to go spend some time with my grandpa. He was put into a Rehab/Nursing Home this week. He is having a very hard time with it. Which I can't blame him for. He is so used to being home in his own house and now he constantly has people around him. I went to visit him yesterday and he was in pretty good spirits. When I got there, he was having his supper with some of the other guys that are there. They seemed very nice and I just really hope that Grandpa spends more time with them and gets involved in some activities to keep himself busy. I left in tears b/c I just feel so bad for him! I don't look forward to getting old and not being able to do anything for myself!

Sunday, I am hoping for a relaxing day! Maybe a family movie day. Our weekends have just been so busy and I am ready to relax.

I am excited b/c Will is at home right now hanging some new cupboards and hanging our microwave! We are only able to switch out a couple cupboards at a time but oh well! I am just ready to at least have it started and to have a finished kitchen!

Well, hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Weekend

So this weekend we were very busy! Friday was Will's 26th birthday (Yes, I know...he is young...LOL) We went out with what was supposed to be about 15 friends and it ended up being about 35-40 to Uccello's. The wait staff was very accomadating to us. Which was wonderful b/c Friday nights at Uccello's is very busy and hectic. It was so good to see some friends that we haven't seen in a long time. I love catching up with everyone! It seems the older we get as people start getting married and having babies, it just gets hard to get together as much as we used to.

Saturday night, my boss took us out to the Grill House in Allegan. If you have never been there, you should go! They have a room that you go into and there is a meat cooler. You pick out your own steak and sides and then you grill them yourself. I have never had such a tender steak in my whole life!! I do have to say that the Grill House is a bit on the pricey side so if you are looking to go out and not spend a lot of money....this is definately not the place to go. It was definately good though :-)

Sunday, was a day of running some errands, having lunch at Red Robin and then going home. While Will was trying to finish is school assignment online, our internet quit working. Pretty frustrating. This caused his assignment to be 1 day late which means they automatically deduct 10% off his grade.

Well, there is the low down on our busy weekend. Hope all is well with all of you and your familes!

Holidays

Well, I guess I haven't really been posting blogs on here like I planned on but here I go...

Our first Christmas together went awesome. We spent Christmas eve at Will's mom's house with all of his family and came home yet that night so that we could have Christmas morning around our own tree and watch Taylor open up her gifts from "Santa". After that we went to my parents house for the traditional biscuits and gravy and opening gifts with my family. At noon, Taylor had to go back to her mom's house so Will and I went home and planned on relaxing but instead, Will ended up on the roof, shoveling snow off so that when it started snowing we wouldn't have a leaky roof :-)

This year for New Year's we had Taylor, so our great friends Tony and Amanda came over with their kids. The kids played upstairs and we (the adults) were in the basement playing euchre and Catch Phrase and had a couple of drinks and appetizers. We laughed so hard playing Catch Phrase!! It was guys against the girls. We had a riot! The kids were allowed to stay up and watch the ball drop with us. They thought that was soooo cool. We even gave them sparkling apple juice to cheers each other while we had a champagne toast. I am not sure that I have ever see Taylor fall asleep as fast as she did that night! She was exhausted!

Now that we are a couple of weeks into the new year, we only have 6 1/2 more months until our Wedding!! I am so excited! Also starting to stress out a little b/c I keep thinking of something else that needs to be done as far as planning goes. But I just keep telling myself, it's all going to come together and I have a lot of people that are more than willing to help.

I am so ready for winter to be over! Will and I both want to go on a vacation so bad but we have to hold out until our honeymoon. Neither one of us has enough vacation time at work to allow us to go right now. We are both taking a day off though at the end of January to have a long weekend at my family's cabin in McBain with my parents to celebrate their anniversary. So at least we have that to look forward to :-)

Well, I better get back to work. I will try to start blogging more often...LOL
